How Dongdok App Works

#Overview

Dongdok App follows 3 main steps: Set up your store → Add products → Sell and track. You can start accepting orders within 10 minutes of registering.

#Step 1 — Create an Account and Configure

Create an account with your phone number or Google. Takes under 2 minutes. See the registration guide for step-by-step instructions.

#Configure Your Store

After registering, set up the basics for your business:

• Currency — Choose LAK, USD, THB, or all the currencies you accept
• Tax rate — Set a percentage or turn it off if not applicable
• Business type — Café, restaurant, retail, or street stall
• QR Payment — Add your bank QR code for digital payments

#Step 2 — Add Products

#Create Categories

Group your products with categories — drinks, food, desserts, etc. Categories make finding items faster at the point of sale. See how to create a category.

Create product listings with:

1. Name and price
2. Category assignment
3. Photo (optional)
4. Modifiers — e.g. size (S/M/L), sweetness level, toppings

#Step 3 — Take Orders

#The Sales Flow

Taking an order in Dongdok App is straightforward:

1. Select items — Tap the products the customer wants, adjust quantity on the spot
2. Apply modifiers — If a product has options, the app prompts you to choose
3. Choose payment method — Cash, bank transfer, or QR
4. Confirm — The system calculates totals, tax, and issues a receipt immediately

After payment you can:

• Print a receipt via Bluetooth thermal printer
• Save to order history for later review

#How Data is Stored

#Free Plan — On Device

All data is stored on your Android device. If you uninstall the app, the data is gone. Best suited for single-device use.

#Pro/Business — Cloud Sync

Data is automatically synced to the cloud, letting you:

• Access data across multiple devices
• View sales from the Web App (dongdok.app)
• Keep data safe even if your phone is lost

#Offline Mode

This is one of Dongdok App’s key strengths. When internet is unavailable:

1. You can continue selling normally
2. Data is saved locally on the device
3. When connection is restored, data syncs automatically (Pro/Business)

#Reports and Analytics

Dongdok App generates reports for you automatically:

• Daily sales summary — Total revenue, order count, and average order value
• Top products — See which items drive the most revenue
• Revenue by payment method — Cash vs transfer vs QR breakdown
• Trends (Pro/Business) — Week-over-week and month-over-month comparisons
