Overview
Dongdok App supports multiple currencies at the same time. You can accept payments in LAK, USD, THB, or any custom currency, and the system will handle conversion automatically.
Adding a Currency
- Go to Settings โ Currencies
- Tap Add Currency
- Select the currency (LAK, USD, THB, or other)
- Enter the exchange rate relative to your primary currency
- Save
Primary Currency
The primary currency is the one your product prices are set in. For businesses in Laos, LAK should be your primary currency.
Setting Exchange Rates
Exchange rates are used to:
- Display product prices in multiple currencies
- Calculate change when a customer pays in a different currency
Example:
If 1 USD = 20,000 LAK, enter 20000 as the rate for USD.
Note: Exchange rates do not update automatically. You must update them manually when rates change.
Editing or Removing a Currency
- Go to Settings โ Currencies
- Tap the currency you want
- Select Edit to update the rate, or Delete to remove it
Warning: The primary currency cannot be deleted.
Usage During Checkout
When processing a payment you can:
- Select the currency the customer is paying with
- The system shows the amount due in that currency
- Change is calculated in the same currency
